The Siesta is safe, ergonomic and easy to install. The patented continuously adjustable reclining system allows the seat to tilt back 20 degrees, which is further than most other seats on the market. It is constructed so that the centre of gravity does not move too far backwards, and is the only reclining function on the market that really solves the problem when children fall asleep in the seat. This combined with the special shape of the backrest allowing the head to fall backwards even when the child is wearing a helmet. Siesta has a special patented safety belt. The belt can be fastened with one hand, the other hand is then free to support the bike. Siesta is fixed to the bike on a single point on the downtube between the bicycle seat and the pedals. The child seat is fixed to a free hanging carrier, and hanging like this, the seat offers excellent suspension to protect the spine of the child. If the child bike seat is not used it can be easily removed by a quick release fastener.

The Hamax Siesta is suitable for bicycles of the size 26- and 28 inch with a seat tube diameter of 28 to 40mm. The seat tube has to be round. Aluminium or carbon bike frames have to be approved for the installation of child seats by the manufacturer.

Note: The Hamax Siesta is designed for children at the age of 9 month up to 4 years (22kg body weight). Use this seat only, if your child is able for unassisted sit.
