The R22 features an updated tooth profile that is compatible with all major drivetrains, as well as updated spider designs and compatibility with 9/10/11 and 12-speed drivetrains including SRAM T-Type and Shimano HG+.

In addition, the redesigned teeth ensure better self-cleaning in muddy conditions and a more efficient drivetrain with maximum chain skew. In addition to better chain guidance thanks to the narrow-width profile, the chain run in advanced chain wear has also been improved compared to the previous version. The newly designed integrated DM spider also increases the stiffness of the chainrings and eliminates the need for a separate spider including bolts for easier set-up.
