Utilizing the latest technologies of the Dura Ace R9100 and Ultegra R8000 road components, the Shimano 105 R7000 groupset offers additional versatility and improved riding performance for a wide range of cyclists. The shift levers are ergonomically sophisticated and match the slim design of their Ultegra predecessors, while the medium-length rear derailleur and 11-34 CS-HG700 cassette expand the gear range. The highlight of the new 105 is the addition of hydraulic disc brakes to the standard range, which have the usual good properties of disc-specific Shimano components. The flat brake calipers are compatible with Ice Technologies pads and brake discs from a diameter of 140 mm to offer the most powerful Shimano 105 groupset ever.

The Shimano CS-R7000 cassette offers an extended range of performance-oriented gear combinations. These have small gear steps to optimize the cadence and thus the riding rhythm.
