Details of the Orbea Alma M Pro XT mountain bike - 2022

OMX - Orbea Monocoque X (OMX) frames rely on an exclusive combination of highly modular and high-strength carbon fibers. Prepreg carbon mats are laser cut to minimize material usage and overlapping areas. In addition, the frame is elaborately preformed to achieve optimal compression with as little carbon as possible. The use of an all expanded polystorol (EPS) mold and latex inserts eliminates wrinkles and voids.

OC Cockpit - With the unique design of the OC steering head, spacer and stem, Orbea has given its cross-country family a completely new, integrated look. The interaction of the OC components completes the high-end claim of our modern cross-country bikes.

BLOCKLOCK headset - The Acros Blocklock 164º headset limits the deflection of the handlebar and thus prevents damage to the frame. Working closely with Acros, we were able to minimize the overall height and integrate the system into the cockpit of the Carbon-Alma in the best possible way.

Chain guard - Even if the gears are perfectly adjusted, the chain can still come off on rough terrain or when changing the wheel. But no matter what happens: The Orbea chain guard gives you that satisfying assurance that the chain won't wrap around your bottom bracket.

ICR - The cables are specifically routed through the inside of the frame so that nothing rubs or rattles. The cable routing is optimized for mechanical as well as electronic shifting systems.
