DLC - Extremely Durable. Extremely Precise.

A quadruple surface treatment as well as precisely hardened rivets and inner plates give DLC chains from KMC unsurpassed durability and the entire drivetrain an above-average service life. Special mention should be made of the diamond-like titanium-carbon-nitride top coating, which creates an extremely smooth and extremely hard protective layer that reduces wear and enables outstanding shifting performance. With its precisely manufactured plates, which feature dynamically chamfered edges, the Double X-Bridge construction also contributes to seamless gear changes and the smoothest possible running.

Thanks to the use of hollow rivets as well as of perforated inner and outer plates, the 11-speed version of the DLC chain also saves every unnecessary gram of weight.

DLC (Diamond Like Coating) | The main feature of this titanium-carbon-nitride coating is its exceptional surface hardness and the associated reduction in wear due to abrasion. As a result, the high-end chains in the DLC series impress with an outstanding service life, the best shifting properties and an attractive appearance that will last for a long time.

Super Light (SL) | In order to save every last gram, the SL models use hollow rivets in addition to slotted inner and outer plates. However, the maximum weight reduction is by no means at the expense of performance and running properties.

Double X-Bridge | The precisely chamfered outer plates have precisely defined angles. This design enables not only faster but also more precise shifting.
