This version of the tried-and-tested Grand Prix 5000 is not only lighter and faster, but also more puncture-resistant thanks to reinforced side walls. Equipped in this way, the S model sets standards for Tubeless-compatible road bike tires. The results are higher speeds combined with greater comfort and improved protection against cuts.

BlackChili Compound | It's all in the mix. With its unique rubber compound manufactured in Germany, Continental has revolutionized the cycling scene and provided a solution that emphasizes sustainability by answering the eternal question of grip versus rolling resistance. Regular test victories prove the advantages for riders, both in the lab and on the road. The latest polymers and specially developed particles and fillers guarantee unique performance.
Vectran Breaker | The benchmark in puncture protection. Vectran is spun from the liquid crystal polymer Vectra. This creates a thermoplastic, multi-fiber yarn. This fabric is more cut-resistant than aramid and has five times the tensile strength of steel. A Vectran breaker is lighter, more flexible, and provides more effective protection against cuts than comparable nylon breakers. This does not have a negative effect on rolling resistance.
LazerGrip | Lets you become one with the road. The laser-cut micro-profile structure is concentrated in the shoulder area of the tires, giving you increased cornering grip.
ACT (Active Comfort Technology) | A revolutionary approach to road cycling. Integrated into the tire construction, Active Comfort Technology absorbs vibrations and ensures a superior riding experience.
Note: Tubeless Ready tires require tubeless compatible rims/wheels, tubeless valves, tubeless rim tape and sealing fluid for tubeless mounting. Sealant fluid is not required for tubeless UST tires, but is recommended for increased puncture protection. Installation should only be carried out by qualified personnel.
